Job Description

Shift:    Morning; Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 
Pay Rate: $28.00 

 

Role Purpose: 
Build an Art digitally as designated and according to the customer’s needs and specifications and in conjunction with Sealed Air’s specifications and tolerances. Provide accurate graphics placement on printed bag dyelines to provide the customer with an appropriate proof for their approval. 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.    Create an art following all current procedures, work instructions, and prioritize schedules that meet customer expectations while maintaining Sealed Air printing and converting specifications and tolerances.
2.    Work with Pre-art, customer service, sales, and in some cases the customer to clarify or confirm customer’s expectations where potential problems or issues may arise with the art in the printing or converting of their bags.
3.    Prepare all proofs (including process print proofs), mock bag samples and necessary forms to be sent to the customer for their evaluation and approval including any warnings that may necessitate a signed waiver in the event that their art does not meet Sealed Air standards.
4.    Prepare digital art file to be processed by the Imaging Dept. 
5.    Log and update job information into digital data base and job tracking application. 
6.    Perform digital art file checks to determine if customer files sent are usable and complete according to Sealed Air specs and tolerances. Provide info back to Pre-art for review with customer.

Qualifications

  • A two-year college degree in graphic design or commercial art or similar experience.
  • Two years of experience in a Production Graphic artist or similar role.  
  • Two years experience using Adobe Software Products (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.).
  • Team and customer service oriented a must.
  • Flexographic printing, Microsoft Excell, Teams and Esko Software knowledge a plus.
  • Experience with Problem solving skills helpful.
