Job Description

Pay rate: $31 depending on experience

Shift: Night – 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM – Rotating Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Repairs, replaces, and installs sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, electric eyes, conduit systems, switches, defective writing, etc.
•    Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces PLCs, Servo and Frequency Drives, and related electronic hardware.
•    Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers servos, gears, sprockets chains, knives, etc. using test equipment.
•    Uses blueprints and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations.
•    Makes proper use of tools such as hacksaws, pipe benders, pipe threaders, hammers and screwdrivers, splice wires and install conduit, panel boards, switch boxes, motors and drives, and other electrical equipment.
•    Tests or recommends new equipment in the electronic field, staying well-informed of the latest state-of-the-art technology.
•    Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, servos, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation.
•    Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule.
•    Installs change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders, etc.) on our production machinery.
•    Provides technical expertise to train and support production and create an environment of continuous learning.
•    Maintains housekeeping and sanitation of work area and equipment.
•    Uses Nestlé computer systems for accurate tracking of products as required.
•    Trains others on related tasks.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. 
  • Proficiency in electrical skills: electrical troubleshooting, electrical circuits, schematics, servo motors, and familiarity with 460/220 3 PH wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with groups or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
  • CMMS experience preferred
  • PLC programming preferred 

 

Physical Requirements:
•    Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
•    Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 50lbs.
•    Eye/hand coordination.
