Location: Madera, CA
Shift:
Afternoon / 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 Midnight) + Overtime Required | 6-Day Work Week
Pay Rate: $27 (starting pay) + $1.00 Shift Premium

We are hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability initiatives.

This role is open to both experienced maintenance professionals and fresh graduates from machining, technical, or vocational schools who are eager to start a career in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or plant operations. On-the-job training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform industrial maintenance (electrical & mechanical) to support production, quality, safety, and cost-efficiency goals
  • Diagnose and repair low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems, motors, and controls
  • Troubleshoot and maintain industrial machinery, conveyors, loaders, hoppers, and vacuum systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance, and equipment overhauls
  • Install, upgrade, and modify manufacturing equipment and plant systems
  • Follow and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA safety procedures
  • Maintain facility systems, including grounds and infrastructure
  • Document maintenance activities using CMMS systems (SAP preferred) and prepare reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Take ownership of assigned equipment and ensure optimal performance and uptime

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or coursework in Machining, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical fields preferred

Open to Entry-Level Candidates:

  • Fresh graduates from machining schools, vocational programs, or technical institutes are highly encouraged to apply
  • Internship, apprenticeship, or hands-on training experience is a plus

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Electrical systems (low/high voltage, motors, PLC basics)
    • Mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics
    • Industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair
  • Experience with:
    • Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs
    • CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar)
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with:
    • Bulk material handling systems (loaders, hoppers, conveyors, vacuum systems)
    • Welding, fabrication, and machining (preferred)
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • High attention to safety compliance and risk management

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)

  • OSHA Safety Certification (OSHA 10/30)
  • Electrical Certification or License
  • Forklift and/or Boom Lift Certification
  • PLC Training or Mechatronics Certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Frequently lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders, platforms, and work at heights
  • Capable of performing hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs
