Job Description
Shift: Night
Shift Premium Amount: $0.75
Pay Rate: $17.10 - $18.66
Position Summary:
• The Manufacturing Helper assists the Assistant Operator in the safe operation of quality product by continual adjustments of gauges that control extruder speed, temperatures, pressures, and winder speeds while also focusing on safety and efficiency. Also performing quality checks to ensure product is meeting specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
• Pack and label product to meet production schedule
• Follow direction of the Assistant Operator once production schedule is obtained.
• Perform quality checks to meet specification.
• Prepare station for production process.
• Assist in the operations of manufacturing of quality products.
• Help Assistant Operator complete all required reports.
• Comply with Company standards with regard to housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.
• Ability to help troubleshoot when problems arise.
• Perform duties of other team members as required during breaks and absences.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
• High school diploma/GED
OR
• 1 year of factory-related work experience in-lieu of HSD/GED
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of factory-related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Awareness towards safety.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and independently.
• Able to work overtime and on weekends.
Other Requirements:
• Operate pallet jack
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting weights over 30lbs.
• Eye/hand coordination.
• Must be able to routinely work in a “hot room” (up to 110 degrees F at times).
