Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:
Audit the outgoing quality level of manufactured plastic processes and products to ensure compliance to Automated Packaging Systems’ specifications and customer requirements.

Pay: $23.00 

Shift: Night

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Perform Process Audits on Converting and Extrusion departments.
• Inspections to be completed based upon directed risk approach and manufacturing performance.
• Disposition, in conjunction with operations supervisor, MRB material per requirements.
• Perform audits of finished product from the Bag/Pouch Conversion Departments for conformance of quality requirements.
• Complete incoming inspections of purchased film to ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Assist in the inspection of customer returned product to resolve issues pertaining to quality and to satisfy customer needs.
• Audit the quality process to ensure conformance to established quality-related procedures.
• Complete all paperwork, reports, and filing associated with the performance of the role to affirm that audit and test results are accurately documented, organized, and filed.
• Ability to train for and conduct internal ISO audits and support external audits as needed.
• Participate in our Continuous Improvement program including the support of six sigma and defect improvement teams throughout the plant.  
• Serve as back up to other Quality positions during times of vacations, illness, etc.

Qualifications

1.    Three years minimum working knowledge of APS Converting manufacturing process.
2.    Competency in IFS.
3.    Knowledge of and familiarity with APS product specifications.
4.    Must have a demonstrated knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Power Point, Access, and Excel. 
5.    Effective interpersonal communication skills.
6.    Requires ability to lift 50 pounds
7.    Expected to work as a Team member to protect the Customer from nonconforming material.
8.    Meet required assessment scores:   Math 70%   Measurement 90%   TAP 35%   Bennett 50%
