Job Description

Manages receiving, inventory control and warehouse space.  Duties include quality control of incoming materials, cycle counts and managing material throughout the process.  

Shift:    Morning
Pay Rate: $17.25 

Receiving:  

  • Ensure that incoming material is correct and received into the system accurately
  • Prepare for incoming shipments, manage material, and maximize warehouse space following established procedures

Cycle Counts and Inventory Management:  

  • Manage the Cycle Counts process, following established procedures  
  • Monitor inventory adjustments and maintain documentation to ensure SOX compliance  

Material Flow and space allocation:

  • Provide leadership, accountability, and clear direction to assure the efficient movement of material in the warehouse and to maximize warehouse space 
  • Coordinate efforts with Management as well as the Customer Service, Purchasing, Shipping, Production Teams. This includes Job Orders, Customer Orders, RMAs, RMRs and inventory adjustments  

Warehouse Safety: 

  • Maintain a clean, safe environment to ensure Zero Harm  
  • Oversee the training of Warehouse Associates and ensure they follow safety guidelines

Problem Solving: 

  • Identifies and corrects problems in the appropriate systems 
  • Finds solutions to the problems and involves other functions as required
  • Proactively works to create efficient systems and processes to stop problems before they happen.

Performance or Discipline Management:  

  • Oversees the receiving team and warehouse team following best practice and striving for continuous improvements  
  • Identifies training and development needs for team members and coworkers

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education & experience

Requirements: 

  • 5 years of receiving, shipping, and warehouse experience
  • 2 years of management experience preferred
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of quality control, receiving, warehouse and inventory management
  • Able to safely use material handling equipment including but not limited to standing and sitting forklifts, scissor lifts, barcode scanners and wrapping machines
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

Physical Requirements:

  • Climbs on and off forklifts, stands, reaches, pushes and pulls materials 
  • Will frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and routinely lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Must be able to routinely work in a “hot room” (up to 110 degrees F at times)
