Job Description
Shift: Morning
Pay Rate: $19.00
Position Summary:
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for to help with assembly and manufacturing. Perform basic duties such as loading or unloading machines, supplying, or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform general physical activities. Load material or workpieces into machinery. Position, adjust, and secure stock material or work pieces against stops, or arbors, or in chucks, fixtures, or automatic feeding mechanisms. Thread or feed items or products through or around machine rollers and dryers.
• Monitor finished goods as they exit from machines to prevent jamming.
• Unload, count, stack and sort material for further processing, packaging, or shipping according to work order specification. Record counts produced.
• Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Responsible for product quality and accuracy. Maintain consistent production quality. Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices as rulers, micrometers, or scales. Remove defective or substandard materials from machines and readjust machine components so that products meet standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures. Comply with all policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to management.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements:
• 3 to 6 months or more of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience working in a team environment
• Requires attention to detail and being thorough in completing work tasks
• Ability to add and subtract 2-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
