Team Performance Leader (Manufacturing Supervisor | Production Team Leader | Night Shift)

Location: Keyser, West Virginia (WV) – 58 Industrial Lane, Keyser, WV 26726
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Night Shift
Shift Differential: $1.00/hour
Starting Pay: $29.25/hour

As a Team Performance Leader, you will lead manufacturing operations on the production floor, coach frontline employees, improve operational performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for experienced manufacturing leaders who thrive in fast-paced production environments and are passionate about safety, quality, employee development, and Lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations Leadership

  • Lead and supervise production associates to safely achieve daily production, quality, and efficiency goals.

  • Coordinate shift operations, workforce scheduling, staffing, and workflow to maximize productivity.

  • Monitor manufacturing KPIs including production output, run rates, uptime, yield, scrap reduction, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

  • Resolve production issues quickly while minimizing downtime.

Team Leadership & Employee Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop manufacturing employees through performance management and accountability.

  • Identify skills gaps and implement training using Single Point Lessons (SPLs).

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.

  • Support employee evaluations, performance improvement, and succession planning.

  • Recommend corrective or disciplinary actions when appropriate.

Quality Management

  • Ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

  • Support quality assurance initiatives that reduce defects, quality incidents, and customer complaints.

  • Analyze production and quality data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Promote compliance with quality systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing best practices.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven decision making to improve processes.

  • Participate in Kaizen events, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Support cost reduction projects and productivity improvements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe workplace by enforcing OSHA standards, company safety policies, and environmental procedures.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee coaching and hazard identification.

  • Ensure compliance with all manufacturing, quality, and workplace regulations.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Create shift schedules and maintain adequate staffing levels.

  • Manage employee attendance, vacation tracking, holiday scheduling, and ADP timekeeping.

  • Prepare production reports, shift summaries, and operational documentation.

  • Communicate production, personnel, quality, and safety concerns to leadership.

Equipment & Production Systems

  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance requests.

  • Support implementation of new manufacturing technologies and process improvements.

  • Utilize Smart Factory technologies, Power BI dashboards, ERP systems, and production reporting tools to monitor plant performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associate's Degree, Technical Certification, or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.

  • Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing, packaging, industrial, or high-volume production environment.

  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.

  • Prior experience supervising hourly production employees is highly desirable.
